Abstract
From 2021 to 2022, taking the moso bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis) stands at Fangdao Town, Jian 'ou City as the materials to carry out fertilization tests with different fertilizers. The moisture content, culm diameter and wall thickness differences of bamboo culm in different bamboo ages(Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ degrees)and heights(at DBH, at 3.5 m above the ground, at the end), as well as the effects of different fertilizer types such as commercial organic fertilizer, inorganic compound fertilizer on the DBH, wall thickness at DBH and culm biomass were studied. The results showed that with the increase of culm height and age, the moisture content of culm decreased significantly, and with the increase of culm height, the culm diameter and wall thickness decreased significantly(P< 0.05), while the culm diameter and wall thickness of I degree bamboo age were significantly higher than those of other bamboo ages(P< 0.05).Compared with no fertilization, fertilization was beneficial to the growth of newly grown bamboo, the effect of fertilization was inorganic fertilizer > organic fertilizer > no fertilize, while the effects of organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer on newly grown bamboo growth were not significant(P< 0.05).
