Abstract
The number of female and male strobilus and flowering in full bloom of Cunninghamia lanceolata seed orchard have an important effect for yield and quality of the seed orchard Meanwhile.In 2020, the flower mass, flowering in full bloom of 70 clones of 3rd generations of Cunninghamia lanceolata in the phase III of seed orchard in Jiangle Fujian Province have been investigated.Jiangle Fujian Province have been investigated.The results show that, the synchronicity of the flowering period of male and female flowers within and between clones was different, the flowering time of female flowers is earlier than that of male flowers, and they fully enter the flowering period 2 days earlier than male flowers.There is a clear hierarchical distribution of male and female cones on the tree crown, with more male flowers in the lower layer and more female flowers in the upper layer.This distribution mechanism has a certain impact on self pollination of Chinese fir.The results provide theoretical support for management and development of seed orchard, and lay the foundation for the research of the seed orchard.
