Analysis on Integration and Optimization of Natural Protected Areas of Xinping County

Integration and optimization of natural protected areas is quite important and critical for establishinga natural areas protection system with national parks as the main body, and which is scientifically classified, rationally distributed, effectively protected, and scientifically managed.Taking Xinping County of Yunnan Province as an example, based on the detailed survey of the natural protected areas at various levels and of different types, through comprehensively analyzingthe county territorial space planning data, ecological protection red line, public welfare forest regionalization and resource protection vacancy, the presentstatus of natural protected areas of Xinping County were evaluated.By reviewing and analyzing the existed conflicts, natural protected area overlapping, issues inherited from the past and obvious contradiction between protection and development, a preliminary plan for the integration and optimization of natural protected areas of Xinping was proposed.Aimed at facilitating the problem solving in natural protected areas of Xinping County, this study provided a reference for constructing a scientifical and rational natural areas protection system, and for the systematically protection of important ecological system, natural landscapes, natural relics and biodiversity.
