Progresses on the Bamboo Response to Cold and Improvement Cold Tolerance Through Genetic Engineering

  • Here we summarized the research progresses on how bamboo response to cold stress at physiological, biochemical levels, as well as the progresses on improving bamboo cold tolerance through genetic engineering.We also predicted that technologies related to bamboo molecular biology, gene transformation and genome editing will greatly contribute to the bamboo cold tolerance research, and will be an important new research direction in the future.Our review will contribute to the bamboo cold related research in the future.
