Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of biochar on heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Cr, Cd, As and Hg) in the soil and shoots of Phyllostachys edulis. In this study, four treatment were set up in uniformly growing moso bamboo forest, in which 4 treatments of 12000, 6000, 3000 and 0 kg·hm-2 of biochar were designed, respectively.Soil and shoot samples were collected at 90 d and 450 d after biocar were applicated. The results showed that the Pb、Cu、Cd、As and Hg content decreased after 90 d of test. After 450 d of application of biochar, it only has remediation effects on soil Cr, As, and available Pb. And the order of average Pb content in bamboo shoots of different treatments was CK > Treatment 2 > Treatment 3 > Treatment 1, and the average Pb content (dry sample) was 1.09, 0.83, 0.62 and 0.53 mg·kg-1, respectively, means that the application of biochar could reduce the accumulation of heavy metals in bamboo shoots.
