Effect of Extracts from Alpinia chinensis(Retz.) on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Cunninghamia lanceolata

In order to study the potential allelopathic effect of Alpinia chinensis(Retz.) Rosc.planted under Chinese fir forest, the Chinese fir seeds were treated by water extraction with different concentrations of extract from different organs of A.chinensis (Retz.) Rosc.Chinese fir seeds germination status, growth of seedlings were measured.Results showed that low concentration of A.chinensis(Retz.) Rosc.fruit extract promote the seeds germination and seedling growth, high concentration inhibited.The dry leaf extract inhibited seed germination and seedling growth of Chinese fir.The fresh leaf extract had no significant effect on seed germination and seedling growth.The root extract can promote the germination rate and germination index of Chinese fir seed and the growth of seedling leaves, inhibit the growth of seedling stems, and have no significant effect on the growth of seedling roots.The results showed that there were allelopathic active substances in the extract of different organs of A.chinensis (Retz.) Rosc.When planting A.chinensis (Retz.) under Chinese fir forest, it was necessary to clean up the dead leaves in time, prevent the fruit from falling off excessively and pick them in time.
