Analysis of the Research Situation of Fokienia hodginsii in recent 40 years based on bibliometrics

Fokienia hodginsii is the only tree species of Fokienia, Cupressaceae.It is a secondary protected plant in China and an important precious timber tree species in the south.Based on the core collection of Web of Science and the database of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), in this paper were systematically reviewed the relevant literature of Fokienia hodginsii research from 1976 to 2020, and the annual dynamics, research hotspots, sources, institutions, funds, authors and their article influence, and disciplines of the research literature were analyzed.The results show that in the past 40 years, the attention of domestic and foreign scholars to Fokienia hodginsii has gradually increased, and the number of publications has generally shown an upward trend.The amount of domestic literature on Fokienia hodginsii research can be divided into three stages: the first stage (1976-1996) germination period; the second stage (1997-2017) is a period of rapid development; the third stage (2018-2020) is a period of steady development.Web of Science involves a lot of global disastrous climate, and its research trend emphasizes the protection of Fokienia hodginsii.In CNKI, the research were focused on the ecological benefits of Fokienia hodginsii mixed forest, and the research on Fokienia hodginsii provenance is in the forefront.Further excavation of the ecological benefits of Fokienia hodginsii is likely to become a hot issue in the future.
