Abstract
In 2020,four types of three-dimensional greening plants were used as experimental materials, including Heptapleurum heptaphyllum,Aucuba japonica var. Variegata,Gardenia jasminoides and Serissa japonica at the Fujian Academy of Forestry in Xindian Town,Jin’an District,Fuzhou City,Fujian Province. Different concentrations of plant growth inhibitors such as paclobutrazol, daminozide, and chlorocholine chloride were used to irrigate the plants. The dwarfing effects of different plant growth inhibitors on the four types of three-dimensional greening plants were compared. The results of this study indicated that under natural growth conditions, the maintenance of landscape effects of H. heptaphyllum and A. japonica var. variegata was better than that of G. jasminoides and S. japonica. H. heptaphyllum and A. japonica var. variegata were not sensitive to different concentrations of three plant growth inhibitors;the dwarfing rate of G. jasminoides with paclobutrazol was the highest (57. 80%~59. 21%),followed by S. japonica (38. 00%~41. 82%). Therefore,it was recommended to adopt extensive management for H. heptaphyllum and A. japonica var. variegata, and apply 300 mg·L-1 of paclobutrazol to control the growth rate of G. jasminoides and S. japonica,in order to stabilize the greening effect.
