Abstract
The 3~6 year-old Cunninghamia lanceolata determination forests established after seedling breeding in 3rd generation fir seed orchards from 7 different origins in Fujian Province (Yangkou,Weimin,Jianyang,Jiangle,Yong'an,Xibei and Baisha) were used to screen the good origins of 3rd generation fir seed orchards suitable for planting in Shunchang through growth survey and biomass determination. The results showed that there were some differences in the growth, stand volume and biomass of the seed orchards of different provenances at different survey times. The combined stand growth and stand biomass indexes indicated that Sanming Jangle,Nanping Jianyang and Nanping Weimin were more suitable for the excellent production areas of fir 3rd generation seed orchards in Shunchang, the tree height growth was 3.25,2.83 and 3.42 m,the DBH growth was 4.57,4.30 and 4.85 cm,the stand volume was 71.35,63.01 and 69.51 m3·hm-2 and the biomass was 94.74,93.91 and 90.82 t·hm-2,respectively.
