Camera-trapping Survey on Mammals and Birds in Fuan Guaxi Alsophila Provincial Nature Reserve

To investigate biodiversity in Fujian Fuan Guaxi Alsophila Provincial Nature Reserve,camera-traps were set in 1 km² grids at 38 sites from August 2019 to December 2020.A total of 3080 independent photographs were collected with a sampling effort of 10512 camera-days.This effort identified 13 wild mammal species (4 orders,11families) and 17 wild bird species (3 orders,8 families).According to the relative abundance index (RAI),the top three mammalian species were Muntiacus reevesi,Sus scrofa and Callosciurus erythraeus;the top three bird species with the highest were Lophura nycthemera,Myophonus caeruleus and Arborophila gingica.The results of this study can be used as a reference for the monitoring,protection and management of the wild animal resources in the later period of Fuan Guaxi Alsophila Provincial Nature Reserve.
