The Comprehensive Evaluation and Screening of Japanese Rhodoendron Cultivars by Analytic Hierarchy Process-Grey Relation Analysis

  • Takeing 17 Japanese Rhodoendron cultivars as materials,as the evaluation factor,3 aspects and 11 characters of the growth character,ornamental character,stress resistance were selected.Japanese Rhodoendron cultivars were comprehensively evaluated by analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and grey relation analysis method.The results showed that the weight sort of evaluation factor of Japanese Rhodoendron cultivars were obtained by using AHP method,in which the index weight value of amount of flower,through summer and winter,flower pattern,flower color are higher.Test varieties were divided into 4 grades based on grey relation analysis and clustering analysis,includeing 1 species of 'Wakakaede' in GradeⅠ,4 species of 'Kinu-no-Mai' in GradeⅡ,8 species of 'Kaho' in GradeⅢ,4 species of 'Beni-shakunan' in Grade Ⅳ.The evaluation results of the study were consistent with the actual observation results of each cultivars,indicating that the method is feasible and can provide a reference for selecting flowers and plants with high ornamental value and easy breeding and popularization.
