Abstract
Based on the results of the national forest inventory and annual government reports, the regional distribution and assessment of potential forest ecosystem carbon sink from 2015 to 2020 in Fujian Province were analyzed. The results indicated that:the carbon sink capacity of Fujian's forest from 2015 to 2020 improved compared to the past 40 years;from 2015 to 2020,the carbon sink capacity of Fujian's forest ecosystem ranged from 46.9 to 21.7 million t·a-1,and the maximum value was distributed in Nanping.Carbon sink per area (CPA) ranged from 7.09 to 19.17 t·a-1·hm-2,and the maximum value was distributed in Fuzhou;the high values of carbon sink capacity and carbon sink per capita (CPC) were concerned in the northwest of Fujian Province, while the high values of CPA were concerned in the northeast;the total economic value of forest ecosystem carbon sink capacity in Fujian was 45.76 billion yuan·a-1,ranging from 20 to 930 million yuan·a-1 in different prefectures, and the average was 508 million yuan·a-1;the ratios of economic value of forest ecosystem carbon sink to GDP were higher in cities with lower GDP.The great regional differences in potential forest ecosystem carbon sink in Fujian Province may be related to the differences in natural endowments.
