Abstract
A new species of Iris of Iridaceae-Iris fujianensis X.X.Su was discoveried in Jian'ou,Nanping City,Fujian Province.Growing on both sides of narrow mountain streams in the uninhabited areas of central Fujian, there were three small populations with a total of about 200 plants. This species has a similar morphology to the Iris speculatrix Hance, with the main difference being that the leaves are wide and long, slightly powdery white;the flower has a large diameter, with blue markings on the inner segments. The stem is surrounded by sheath-like leaves, and the bracts at the top of the stem contain a flower. The fruit stalk is not bent. The type specimen is stored in the Chenshan Herbarium (CSH) in Shanghai, and the ecological photos are preserved on the "China Natural Specimen" platform (CFH).
