Identification Methods,Spatial Distribution,Protection and Restoration of Typical Habitats in the Wenzhou Coastal Zone

  • In light of the lack of quantitative research on the identification and spatial distribution of typical habitats in China's coastal zones,this study takes the Wenzhou coastal zone as an example and proposes a method for identifying typical habitats based on remote sensing images,field investigations,and data collection.This method accurately identifies the areas,spatial locations,and boundaries of estuaries,coastal protective forests,salt marshes,sandy beaches,muddy beaches,rocky beaches,mangroves,special protected islands,important fishery spawning grounds,concentrated distribution areas of rare and endangered species,and sand source protection areas.The study also provided a statistical description of the conditions of each typical habitat in different districts and counties.Based on the distribution characteristics of these typical habitats,corresponding ecological conservation and restoration goals and measures are formulated,providing technical support for the comprehensive protection and utilization planning of coastal zones.
