Abstract
This study, conducted between 2023 and 2024,focused on moths(Lepidoptera) in the Jiuxianshan Experimental Area of the Daiyun Mountain National Nature Reserve. Moth specimens were collected using light traps, bait traps(rotten fruit traps),and by surveying larvae along transects, followed by identification and the establishment of a baseline species diversity database in conjunction with literature records. The results indicated that a cumulative total of 442 moth species from 36 families were recorded in the Jiuxianshan Experimental Area, including 58 toxic moth species and 221 new-recorded species. Among these, the Rhodoprasina corolla is a newly recorded species for Fujian Province. Additionally, there were 16 large-sized ornamental moth species belonging to families such as the Saturniidae and Brahmaeidae. These findings can provide a reference for further natural education and ecotourism activities in the Daiyun Mountain National Nature Reserve.
