Abstract:
The effects of two intercropping modes after high-intensity thinning (70%) on the plant conservation function were studied in Fengtian State owned Forest Farm in Anxi County in 2023.The results showed that:①the intercropping of various
Castanopsis hystrix +
Fokienia hodginsii and
Michelia macclurei +
Liquidambar formosana models increased the number of plant species and individuals in different layers to varying degrees, and effectively promoted the regeneration and development of understory shrubs towards the tree layer, the understory species and individual numbers are the highest in the thinning intercropping model of
Michelia macclurei +
Liquidambar formosana, and their species richness and diversity are also at a high level;②both intercropping modes promoted the growth of
Pinus massoniana plantation, among which the intercropping mode of
Fokienia hodginsii and
Castanopsis hystrix had the highest tree height, diameter at breast height, and individual biomass;③there were significant differences in the growth of different intercropped tree species, among which the height, diameter at breast height, and individual biomass of
Michelia macclurei and
Castanopsis hystrix are significantly higher than those of
Fokienia hodginsii and
Liquidambar formosana.In conclusion,intercropping
Michelia macclurei and
Castanopsis hystrix is a better choice under high-intensity thinning of
Pinus massoniana plantation.
