Abstract:
In order to evaluate the improvement effect of the first-generation clonal seed garden of Schima superba,and optimize the afforestation model of
S.superba and the supporting cultivation technical measures,a demonstration forest for the promotion of
S.superba was set up in Mingxi County,Fujian Province from 2020 to 2021,and a test forest for the determination of
S.superba was set up with the general commercial
S.superba seed and the improved one,the container seedling of
S.superba seed at different seedling ages (specifications) and different slope locations.At the end of 2022,the growth status of the 2~3 year old experimental forest was investigated and analyzed.The results showed that the afforestation effect of fine seed was significantly better than that of common commercial seed,and the growth indexes of young forest were significantly higher than those of common commercial seed in tree height,ground diameter and crown width.On the whole,the growth of diameter,height and crown width in different slope positions was downhill>middle slope>upper slope,but there was no significant difference in tree height growth among different slope positions.The growth of ground diameter and crown width in downhill position was significantly greater than that in middle slope and upper slope (
P<0.01),and there was no significant difference between middle slope and upper slope.The growth of tree height,ground diameter and crown width of 2-year seedling in light matrix nutrient bag was significantly higher than that of 1-year seedling in light matrix nutrient bag (
P<0.05).The comprehensive results showed that the seedlings should be selected in the good seed container and the forest with better site conditions should be planted to improve the quality and yield of the stand faster.The forest can be closed one year earlier,that is,the second year of afforestation,to achieve efficient cultivation.
