Remote Sensing Analysis of Landscape Pattern Changes in Dang-shan Su Pear Germplasm Resources Nature Reserve

Abstract: This study takes the Dang-shan Su Pear Germplasm Resource Nature Reserve as the research object and analyzes the impact of landscape pattern changes in a specific time and area on the Dang-shan Su Pear germplasm resources. A combination of remote sensing technology and field investigation was employed. By interpreting four phases of remote sensing images, the spatial distribution map of Dang-shan Su Pear germplasm resources was obtained, and the landscape pattern was analyzed using Fragstats 3.3 software. The results indicate that from 2000 to 2020,the ecosystem of the reserve was dominated by arbor orchards and residential areas. The number of patches first decreased and then increased. The landscape division index,Shannon diversity index, and Simpson diversity index all decreased, while patch density, total boundary length, and edge density increased. These changes reflect that the dominant patches continued to grow larger, and the landscape became more simplified, which significantly enhanced the protection effect on Su pear germplasm resources. Meanwhile, the changes in ecosystem quality indicators such as leaf area index, biomass, and vegetation cover also demonstrate that the protection measures effectively improved the dominant position of Dang-shan Su pear. Additionally, the analysis of the human influence composite index showed that the impact of human management on the orchards was relatively large, but it had not caused significant negative effects on the overall ecological functions of the reserve. This study provides a scientific basis for the protection and management of Dang-shan Su Pear germplasm resources and offers references for landscape pattern research and ecological management of other nature reserves.
