Abstract:
In 2023,a strain of entomopathogenic fungus BFZ-103 was isolated from the infected larva of Cerambycidae sp.in Zhangpu County. To clarify the taxonomic status of strain BFZ-103,by combining morphological and molecular biological evidence to identify the entomopathogenic fungus. We observed and recorded the entomopathogenic fungus biological characteristics and determined its pathogenicity to adult
Phloeosinus sinensis. The results indicate that strain BFZ-103 was identified as Beauveria brongniartii. The strain cultured with CDA had a higher growth rate at 25 ℃,after 15 days of cultivation, the colony diameter was(72.36 ± 0.67)mm.The spore production of strain BFZ-103 was(9.63±1.24)×10
6 spore·cm
-2 15 days after culture on SDAY at 25 ℃.The Beauveria brongniartii strain BFZ-103 showed high virulence to the adult of
Phloeosinus sinensis. The mortality of the adult of
M.alternatus reached 80.9% 15 days after inoculation. In summary, the strain BFZ-103 has the good potential to be developed as biocontrol agents for
Phloeosinus sinensis.
