Effects of Shading on Fruit Quality and Physiological Characteristics of 'Stevens’ Holly during the Color Transformation Period

  • 摘要: 为揭示不同光照强度对冬青果实转色期生理特性的影响,以'斯蒂芬’冬青为材料,设置全光照(CK)及35%(Z1)、55%(Z2)和75%(Z3)3个遮光梯度,探究遮荫对果实外观品质及生理代谢的影响。结果表明,遮荫处理显著抑制了'斯蒂芬’冬青果实的生长发育,且抑制程度随遮荫强度与时间增加而加剧。重度遮荫(Z3)对果实纵径、横径、单果重均产生显著抑制作用,并导致果实硬度异常升高,而轻度遮荫(Z1、Z2)影响不显著。遮荫延缓了果实转色进程,Z2、Z3处理减缓了叶绿素降解,同时降低类胡萝卜素、花色苷、总酚及黄酮含量。35%遮荫(Z1)显著提高可溶性糖和可溶性蛋白含量。随着果实发育,Z2、Z3处理显著增加丙二醛含量,并诱导超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化物酶(POD)和过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性升高。通过主成分分析与隶属函数综合评价,确定35%遮光为'斯蒂芬’冬青转色期果实发育的适宜光照条件。

     

    Abstract: To investigate the effects of different light intensities on the physiological characteristics of holly fruit during the color transformation period,an experiment was conducted using'Stevens’ holly as plant material.Four treatments were applied:full sunlight(CK)and three shading gradients- 35%(Z1),55%(Z2)and 75%(Z3)to explore the influence of shading on fruit appearance quality and physiological metabolism.The results showed that shading significantly inhibited the growth and development of 'Stevens’ holly fruits,with shading intensity and duration.Severe shading(Z3)significantly reduced fruit longitudinal diameter,transverse diameter,and single fruit weight,and led to an abnormal increase in fruit firmness,while mild shading(Z1 and Z2)had no significant effects. Shading delayed the fruit color-turning process;Z2 and Z3 treatments showed chlorophyll degradation and reduced the contents of carotenoids,anthocyanins,total phenols,and flavonoids.In contrast,35% shading(Z1)significantly increased soluble sugar and soluble protein contents.As fruit development progressed,Z2 and Z3 treatments significantly increased malondialdehyde(MDA)content and induced higher activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD)and catalase(CAT).Using principal component analysis combined with membership function comprehensive evaluation,35% shading was identified as the optimal light condition for fruit development during the color-turning period of 'Stevens’ holly.
