Abstract:
The Fuzhou Sanjiangkou Botanical Garden(Qingliangshan Area)is situated in a transitional zone between coastal and hilly areas at the mouth of the Min River, where both the flora and vegetation exhibit transitional characteristics between aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.Using transect and quadrat survey methods, this study analyzed the species composition and diversity of the flora and vegetation. The results show that there are 631 species of vascular plants, belonging to 425 genera and 134 families, with Poaceae,Asteraceae and Fabaceae being the dominant families. The floristic composition displays clear transitional characteristics, dominated by tropical elements(accounting for 63.00% of the total genera),followed by temperate elements(36.73%).The vegetation types include 5 vegetation types,11 formations and 18 associations, primarily composed of secondary broadleaf forests and artificial/cultivated vegetation.A total of 161 plant species were recorded across 22 surveyed quadrats, with
Cyclosorus parasiticus having the highest frequency of occurrence.Species diversity varied significantly among different quadrats, with the herb layer generally exhibiting higher diversity than the tree and shrub layers. These findings provide fundamental data to support the management of plant resources and the development of a high-level botanical garden at the Fuzhou Sanjiangkou Botanical Garden.
